Neighbourhood Health and Financial Security: Foundations for Thriving Communities

Join Turn2us and the Better Way Network for a conversation exploring the links between financial security, health and neighbourhood approaches, and how they connect to support thriving communities.

Financial insecurity is closely linked to physical and mental health and is a key driver of health inequalities. Many of the factors that shape people’s health and wellbeing sit outside the healthcare system, including income, housing, local infrastructure and community connections.

Across the UK, neighbourhood and place-based approaches are bringing together community organisations, local services and residents to respond to these challenges in different ways. As Turn2us continues to develop its place-based programmes, working with communities and local partners to address financial insecurity, this session will share learning from practice and create space for reflection on what helps communities move beyond crisis and how organisations across financial security, health and community development can support thriving communities.
